Weekly Activities at The West Kirk

(*Denotes non West Kirk use of the hall)


Worship on Sunday mornings.

Sunday School  – A group of children aged from a baby up to Secondary school ages. A creche is also available.


Coffee Club: Meets from 10.00 a.m. until 12 noon on a drop in basis.  People are welcome to stay for as long as they wish (1 cup, 2 cups…). The club has regular outings to places which serve coffee.

Line Dancers: 7.30-9.00p.m.  Approximately 24 dancers (including 3 gentlemen) are put through their paces by their teacher Rebecca, who travels from Arrochar to take the class. All ages and standards are made welcome, many of whom are not church members.


7th Dumbarton Rainbows 6.00-7.15 p.m. 15 girls aged 5 and 6 and their leaders meet for fun, games, crafts and themed guiding activities not to mention the all-important blether and snack.


Toddlers Group 9.30-11.00 a.m. A mixed group of approximately 40 children aged from birth to 4 years. Toys and tea feature highly in this group.

*Badminton 7.00-9.00 p.m.


Choir Practice 7.15p.m. (Session House) 11 members, male and female. The choir performs an anthem most Sundays. This is a social as well as a musical group.

7th Dumbarton Brownies 6.15-7.45 p.m. 25 girls aged 7-10 and their leaders meet for fun,     a snack, games and badge work.  Pack Holiday is an important activity each year.

7th Dumbarton Guides 7.45-9.30 p.m. 26 girls aged 10-15 enjoy an active, girl-led unit where the Guides are encouraged to learn new skills, make their own decisions and have fun.
